“£10M+” – bidding war over Rangers star set to heat up

Rangers are ready to make a fortune off Glen Kamara amidst reports the Finland midfielder is a target for PL sides Crystal Palace and Brighton.

The latter were credited with an interest in the summer, but the 23-year old, signed for just £65,000 in January, would fetch a colossal profit from that with the distinct possibility that after being a Gerrard favourite last season, the ex-Dundee man would go for the right offer this season.

Consistently played more conservatively in midfield this season compared to his more impressive displays for his country in the advanced areas, Kamara may consider his options if these two PL sides are serious with their monitoring of him, and given he is no longer a first-choice or favourite of the manager.

In truth we imagine this isn’t a player supporters would be that desperate to hold onto if the price was right, and while his market value hasn’t yet scaled to the £20M area it should have, he would still make Rangers a very strong profit given there’s no imminent need to sell him.

Kamara could and should fetch Rangers around £5M-£10M or possibly more, depending on how the club plays this one.

We’ll see how this one plays out.

  1. Need to start playing hard ball with english clubs who splash out £20m on players to warm their bench. £8-10m would do me

  2. There is no doubt, that if an English club comes in for Kamara they will try and steal him for a pittance. At his age, he has got to be worth at least £7/8m.

  3. I dont want to sell anybody till this season is wrapped up,we need a strong squad incase of injuries

    Watp 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

    • Someone with sense we need to stop the bum boys so selling playets is a no no for me unless it was to bring in a better player….

    • I believe that kamara being a Finnish intrnationàl a d playing the way he does for us week in week out not just a fringe player he's defo worth the 8 to 10 mil he's being quoted plus there's good cover for him if he were to go and that cash used right should add some pretty decent quality that said he's improving and would be hard to let go à young boy with a great future but I'm afraid we are seeking g club and money banked until wee buff goes we could buy a real hot striker hard 1 this as I like kamara and seems to bè getting better under our king Stevie let's watch space with interest Jonny Partick loyal

  4. Is this another Rangers player the Celtic minded media are trying to punt.
It must be squeaky bum time.. they feeling the heat because we are neck and neck with smeltic so they make up a lot of negative garbage

  5. We don't need £5 million. So if we don't get an offer of £10 plus, he stays until we do. But while I agree with Benidormloyal in general, I would rather see Docherty get a chance which right now he can't because we have too many midfielders. King also

    • We’ve a terrible record for selling good players for a pittance then watching as they’re sold on for millions. Charlie Adam being one and Waghorn another bringing in millions for Wigan. In these days of two hundred million quid transfers we should be asking for what a player’s really worth. Not pennies.

  6. As long as the gers wins to stop that rotten mob I'm all in for a rew extra pound to buy a better player I've got trust in the gather wrtp

  7. Throw in taverner and just maybe get 20 million plus bring back docherty and spend big bucks for a right back

  8. We can't afford to be selling our best players unless we have ready made replacements and I'm sure we wont be selling players who are signed up on long term contracts unless that is the case

  9. Why sell our best players???? You either have ambition or you don't. You win nothing sell tour best players. A bag average player gets sold for 10 million/ Kamara ia an establish. full international

  10. Sell no one we need to keep a strong squad don't think we will get a better chance of winning the league we really have to stop that lot cum on the gers
