Rangers’ managing director Stewart Robertson has failed to reassure fans over Alfredo Morelos’ future by conceding the Colombian’s stay at Ibrox is effectively up in the air.
Speaking at the club’s new inclusion initiative launch, the big boss was asked to clarify Morelos’ position in this transfer window, and he could only say:
“We’ll see what happens.”
This certainly sounds far from certain the former HJK man will remain at Ibrox, and we do get a real sense the club anticipates serious bids arriving from both England and the continent, with Eintracht and West Ham both said to be very interested indeed.
The fact is we don’t know what will happen with Morelos one way or the other, and unlike James Tavernier he’s failed to show any real commitment to Rangers beyond the new contracts, but the MD’s comments more than suggest that it’s up in the air and we’d imagine if an acceptable bid or two does come in for the hitman’s signature, it would only be a matter of time before he was sold.
Time indeed will tell.
What else can he say? Everyone has a price. Even Tav. He will go. Trust me.
That's not news IN. We've all known for nearly 2 years that he'd be off if a good offer came in. However today that is a bit worrying as we seem to be back at OLD prices. Any chance he could go on an undisclosed fee?
