Major doubts emerge over proposed Ibrox transfer…

Doubts have emerged tonight over Jason Holt’s proposed move to QPR.

The midfielder, who enjoyed a productive loan at Fleetwood, was in line for a switch to Mark Warburton’s Loftus Road giants, but his appearance today at a Rangers Development match v Ayr suggests news of that move was either completely false or sits a long way from completion.

The 26-year old would have been a low-cost signing for Warburton, given he only set Rangers back £29,000 back in 2015, but his starting today’s thrashing of Ian McCall’s reserves does make us wonder if there is indeed a move on the horizon at all for the former Hearts man.

Of course, Jordan Rossiter got his move in the past two days to Holt’s ex-side, and admitted Holt had been a huge factor in his decision to go to League One, so it’s not like it’s been a struggle to shift players who have wanting destinations to go to.

But the Holt story to the Bread Man has gone very quiet and his presence today makes us wonder if it’s now off.

  1. Don`t see why Holt playing puts any move in danger , playing gets him fitter for any team that wants him so why would it stop him getting a move .Alnwick, Grezda , Dorrans and Dodoo were all playing for the same reason so that they are fit to move.
