Rangers stunner as yet another first-team star is linked out...

Rangers fans have been shocked to learn yet another first-team star may be set to leave Ibrox, albeit temporarily, following concerning links over Alfredo Morelos, Scott Arfield, Glen Kamara, and James Tavernier.

Ross McCrorie has found his opportunities in the first team limited the past year despite impressive performances, and recent stories have alleged he will shunted out for minutes on loan next season ala Ryan Hardie.

It makes for yet another surprise ‘bad news’ story over Rangers’ key first-team players, and even though this is one the club would be electing to do, we can’t help wondering why in the past 10 days more or less every single player we have of value and quality has been linked with a departure.

McCrorie was linked last summer with a switch to Swansea, and perhaps that may well surface again, but fans have already lost Ryan Kent back to Liverpool, and see Arfield, Morelos, Tavernier, Kamara and now McCrorie linked with moves away, be it loan or permanent.

The question is why? Just when Steven Gerrard has structured a winning formation and XI, why are our most prized assets being sold or loaned out. And it feels like a regular conveyer belt of our best talent, day by day.

Who next for the rumour mill of departure! Answers on a postcard.

  1. Stay and play 10 games behind Kamara and Davis, or go on loan and play 40 games for another SPL or English Championship team. Which would help him develop more? No brainer.
Advantage of SPL loan is he can help take points of them and the Sheep.
Davis is not a longterm plan, Kamara may even got this summer but is unlikely to be around in 3 years, which leaves McCrorie and Rossiter fighting for the CDM jersey. Although I am sure we will strengthen further in that time

  2. Linked is the word just as we are linked with umpteen players every day until there are concrete offers coming in and only then we start to get concerned if you think that Rangers are going to let the players you have mentioned go with maybe the exception of Morelos what do think Steven Gerrard reaction would be

  3. We are a selling club , like every other team in the SPFL. Whether we like it or not that's just the position all Scottish club find themselves in.

  4. Send McCrorie on loan for a season to a good level and insist he plays at centre back. He has all the attributes but needs to learn how to play the position.
