Rangers look set to complete a sensational triple signing in the coming days with the confirmed swoops for Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo, Charlton’s Joe Aribo and former loanee Ryan Kent.
With three summer signings through the door already, this would quickly double the tally to six, and give Steven Gerrard all the versatility in attack that he believes he needs.
The Kent deal is said to be another 12-month loan, which looked impossible even as recently as 10 days ago, but it appears Liverpool want their man to develop further (and become more valuable) so he will remain in Govan after all.
Ojo, a right winger, arrived at Auchenhowie this morning to begin life at Ibrox – the former Reims man has a promising pedigree and sources suggest more potential than Kent did, which bodes extremely well indeed.
And Charlton’s attacking midfielder Aribo is in the midst of negotiations for a permanent transfer to Rangers, which should go through fairly quickly as long as terms can be sorted.
It all makes for an exciting start to pre-season, as the players arrived at the Hummel Training Centre this morning to begin the new campaign. Ojo was among them. Will Kent and Aribo join him soon?
