Rangers could complete sensational triple swoop inside 24 hours

Rangers look set to complete a sensational triple signing in the coming days with the confirmed swoops for Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo, Charlton’s Joe Aribo and former loanee Ryan Kent.

With three summer signings through the door already, this would quickly double the tally to six, and give Steven Gerrard all the versatility in attack that he believes he needs.

The Kent deal is said to be another 12-month loan, which looked impossible even as recently as 10 days ago, but it appears Liverpool want their man to develop further (and become more valuable) so he will remain in Govan after all.

Ojo, a right winger, arrived at Auchenhowie this morning to begin life at Ibrox – the former Reims man has a promising pedigree and sources suggest more potential than Kent did, which bodes extremely well indeed.

And Charlton’s attacking midfielder Aribo is in the midst of negotiations for a permanent transfer to Rangers, which should go through fairly quickly as long as terms can be sorted.

It all makes for an exciting start to pre-season, as the players arrived at the Hummel Training Centre this morning to begin the new campaign. Ojo was among them. Will Kent and Aribo join him soon?

We’ll see.

  2. As always, I will judge all signings when they are playing for points and cups on the pitch. Friendly's mean damn all to me other than a match fitness exercise. Playing for Rangers is a different game altogether and the weight of demand for the jersey has been too heavy for most players that have came in so far.
So far I have not seen any players coming in that would excite me to think we will win the league next season. Greg Stewart is such a backward signing!
It's early days yet I suppose, but it seems Gerrard has learnt nothing from last season judging by the caliber of player that's coming in thus far. They are not any better than we currently have!
Early summer transfer window report? - Must do better or hand Celtic 9IAR!

  3. Desperately need a CB and an out and out striker(when not if we sell morelos) Defoe is great but at 36 going on 37 he wont play 90 of most games. But all 3 reported signings are a massive step in the right direction

  5. Agree with Unknown, above. Required: A hell of a Bomber and a 6' 6" defender. Apply at RFC, Govan.
