Five in, four out – sort of – crazy Tuesday at Ibrox…

So a truly Tumultuous Tuesday already at Ibrox and Ibrox Noise will try to take you through the bulk of all the latest transfer news on top of what we’ve already reported for you.

Jake Hastie:

As we said earlier, it’s now looking like our new winger will be going straight back out on loan. Either that was a total lie by the usual suspects in the media or it’s an unexpected twist.

Ryan Kent:

Seems to be on the verge of another 12-month loan deal. We have explained what we think are the real reasons for it.

Sheyi Ojo:

Liverpool’s 21-year old winger is set to join Rangers, having agreed a loan deal. The ex-Reims man will hook up for pre-season duties on the 17th and his promising reputation will be put to the test. He’s one who has real potential about him, and a lot more of it than Kent did.

Glenn Middleton:

Rumours abound that he’s off to Doncaster – the 19-year old winger has been frozen out the past 8 months and needs minutes. Needs to develop, and that probably won’t happen at Ibrox for now. A loan deal to Grant McCann’s side would be the gist of it.

Josh Magennis:

This one has broken today, with Bolton’s former Killie striker appearing to be a target for Steven Gerrard. His stats are a bit mediocre quite honestly – 28 goals in 190 SPL appearances? Can’t say it’s overly exciting but then we do like our NI internationals at Ibrox these days!

George Edmundson:

Rangers are really messing about here. Some League One mob are ahead of Rangers now for his signature, having reportedly bid well over half a million – Rangers don’t seem to want to just nail this kid and get it done and are hankering over a few thousand. And bear in mind he’s only a League Two player, if still a promising one. Make your mind up.

Lee Hodson:

Ok kinda old news but a complete curve ball saw the full back join Gillingham – we had fully expected St Mirren to snap him up but evidently the English side had the better offer. Good luck to him.

Lee Wallace:

Putting pen to paper as we speak, Wallace is working on his move to the ‘other Rangers’ in QPR. Mark Warburton offered him a more modest wage than he was on at Ibrox, and he happily accepted to get football at a fine level again. We wish him the best down south.

Umaro Balde:

One we’ve not covered yet here on the site, the 19-year old winger (yes, really) is interesting Steven Gerrard significantly and the Sporting attacker is reportedly working on a two-year deal to clinch the switch to Govan. He’s never played a minute of senior football and at his age that’s hardly promising, so we do wonder why Jake Hastie and Glenn Middleton would go out for experience and we take in a Sporting Academy lad instead. Weird.

There’s probably more but keeping up to date with all this chaos is nearly impossible.

  1. Re George Edmundson , their owner has now denied the story that they have had a bid accepted by Oldham for him .You really need to calm down with your comments on some of the deals being rumoured .Making negative comments about how the club are handling deals when you don`t even know if they are true is pointless.S.G will be on holiday so how do they know what he is contemplating loan wise .I would imagine this will be decided after pre season and once we see what we have managed to sign ,not a week before everyone reports back.

    • Just summing up all the info we get wlg, not all of it will be bang on. Very dynamic and subject to change even as we go to print.
