More heroics on the international stage for another Rangers man…

Following on from Croat star Borna Barisic’s heroics in Zagreb last night, it was the turn of Colombia’s Alfredo Morelos to manage to similarly steal the show in Yokohama today as he won his second cap for his country and completed a nifty nutmeg in the process.

Coming on as a late substitute for James Rodriguez on 87 minutes, Morelos managed to use his seven-minute spotlight for the Coffee Men in the best way he could, and it definitely went a lot better than his first cap to say the least.

On this occasion a more confident Morelos took the stage and humiliated his opponent as he made the most of his brief appearance (Monaco’s Radamel Falcao got the nod as main number 9) in the Bayern man’s place to try to make a case for more selections in the coming years for his country.

Colombia have South Korea next in Seoul and the Rangers star will be vying to either get a longer cameo or to start in the former Atletico man’s place this time. Unless, that is, Carlos Queiroz changes his formation to fit Morelos in alongside him.

Either way, Morelos will be happier with his second outing for his country, and got in a fine moment of showboating as well.

His value probably just rose again….
