“I know it was” – Steven Gerrard has made a telling admission about star….

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard today admitted January signing Glen Kamara has been a bargain following the Fin international’s paltry £100,000 move to Ibrox last month.

The ex-Dundee man has earned rave reviews for his start to life at Ibrox, and has instantly become a first-team fixture, and many would argue has a market value well above what Rangers shelled out.

And Gerrard agrees:

“I know it was a bargain. I know it was a bargain, he’s a top player, he’s been schooled very well at Arsenal.”

It’s common for a manager to gush praise of a player by suggesting they were a bargain, but a 23-year old Finland international as coveted as Kamara was for barely six figures does suggest this is one time Gerrard is not just paying lip service to his new star, but clearly means it too.

  1. Early days but let's hope so. Neil McCann is on record earlier in the season as saying whoever buys him will make millions.
Regarding Gerrard here is an interesting point with it now looking like Rodgers is going to jump ship and go to a bigger club. Had we appointed Steve Clarke and they brought in Steven Gerrard as their new manager what would we be thinking. Personally I would be gutted!!!
