It’s a long-awaited return to Premiership business tonight with second v third in the table locking horns as Rangers make the short trip over to Kilmarnock to face Steve Clarke’s high-flying side who have recovered from their end season (17/18) dip to find themselves in a very strong bronze position in the table.
Rangers signing Jordan Jones is extremely likely to play in this one, given his qualities, but what XI will Gerrard select?
Well Ibrox Noise sources have confirmed Jermain Defoe is an unexpected slight doubt for his league debut after a minor family issue last night, but he should still make the XI if he is available.
And on that basis we suspect:
McGregor; Tavernier, McAuley, Worrall, Halliday; Jack, Davis; Arfield, Kent; Morelos, Defoe
In the weird 4-2-2-2 cum 4-3-3 formation Gerrard sent out against HJK.
If Defoe isn’t available it is likely to be Candeias in his place and a more typical 4-2-3-1.
Connor Goldson and Eros Grezda are still out with injury, with the prognosis on both a touch unclear at present, while Jamie Murphy and Graham Dorrans remain long-term absentees. We couldn’t even guess at Gerrard’s stance on Borna Barisic right now.
Welcome back proper footie!
That would work with Arfield LW and Kent RW, although both could be encouraged to roam. Bit harsh on McCrorie, though.
Would much rather see the team that beat celtic play them, tbh although i would bend to davis 4 mcrorie, use dafoe as impact sub later in game break him in gently while trying 4 a repeat performance
Would rather have big Katic than that fucking Donkey worral…No Surrender…
As i said before worral is a useless fucking Donkey, get him to fuck back to sherwood asap !!!…No Surrender…
Well that went well!!! Team looked good on paper and started well until they were derailed by Worrall.
If this is our best we are in big Soapy
