Stunning five-player January exodus looming at Ibrox?

In a quite extraordinary day at Ibrox, in the lead up to tonight’s Rapid Vienna crunch, it has broken dramatically that up to five players are already being touted as January departures.

Ibrox Noise will take you through what we know about each of them:

Ovie Ejaria:

The Liverpool loanee has gone a bit ape on social media, with some very telling actions indicating his future lies elsewhere, but his axing from the Europa League squad tonight as well as bench place against Dundee suggests his time may be running out at Ibrox anyway.

Joe Worrall:

Never claimed he wanted to stay anyway, quite the opposite in fact, and has been pretty poor domestically recently, albeit not so bad in Europe. Michael Dawson’s injury at Forest has laid the England cap out for up to two months, and Aitor Karanka is said to be looking at trying to bring Worrall back south to the City Ground as a result. That would probably suit everyone.

Ryan Kent:

Out injured again, his form has tailed off too, and he’s said to be a target for Burnley among others – added to this rumours his loan at Ibrox actually ends next month and he may just be a very unexpected exit.

Borna Barisic:

Turkish media has linked the Croatian with a switch to Besiktas. It’s an odd one, but injury disaster aside, he’s not been great in terms of performances at Ibrox when he has been fit, and if the rich Turkish giants were to bid big enough, we suspect the club would listen to good offers for him.

Umar Sadiq:

This one is done. He’s gone. It just didn’t work.

We’re sure there’ll be more coming thick and fast in the impending weeks.

  1. I would like to keep Kent and the Barisic story is a false flag – he could sign for them, but he can't play for them. He has already played for two clubs this season and that is the UEFA max
If I never see the other three again, I will not shed a tear. Although to be fair to Sadiq, he did try the only shot he got, it just didn't work out.

  2. Good that of these duds will leave but are they being replaced with other loaned duds or proper signings remember these are all players that our own manager brought in. So I think we really do need to start to question if he does have an eye for a player. Again is the squad to big and we need to trim it slightly as well as the wage bill. Interesting times ahead for our famous club but they really do need to get the finger out big time. Anymore points dropped before we play the East End beggers and Gerrard has to go.

    • Gerrard has to go? Really Spud? And who do you have lined up to replace him? God?

Son, you really need to spend time away from the keyboard. Or, you could answer some, even just one, of the many questions I have asked you about whatpositive steps you would like to see. FYI, sacking Gerrard does not count as a positive step.

    • Are you mental in the head? lol. We're sitting second in the league and just had a respectable run in Europe. Compare that to the last few years and tell me we haven't improved dramatically under Gerrard. Stop living in the past and wise up ffs. We're not a huge club anymore and we won't get much better than what we have now. Give the guy time to get it right and stop being a bellend

  3. Kent & Barisic are good players and need to stay. Prefer to keep Ejaria but if he's unhappy, needs to go. The other 2 must go & sell Tavernier. Need to find a dynamic head up playmaker and a prolific goalscorer.

  4. Barisic is a very good player, not yet performed at the level he was performing in Croatia but I am suret he will come good. I would pay no attention whatsoever to what Turkish media say, I do remember that according to them Morelos was going to Turkey. And if I recall correctly, they also had Martin Skrtel as good as signed for Rangers. I hope we keep Kent, he looks like he could be a very good player for us, although he will blow hot and cold which is normal for players of his age and and the type of player he is.

  5. Definitely keep Barasic unless someone offers silly money. I like Kent but at the end of the day he is on loan so if he doesn't go in January he will go in May.
