Rangers shock – star first team winger to follow Sadiq out the door?

Rangers fans may be in for a bit of a shock following breaking claims that star winger Ryan Kent, on loan from Liverpool, could be next in line to leave after Roma’s Umar Sadiq packed up his stuff and headed back to Italy.

The Nigerian striker, it has to be said, was as bad a flop at Ibrox as Portuguese failure Dalcio, and manager Steven Gerrard gave the go ahead for the ex-Breda hitman to cut his loan spell short and leave, which came as no surprise to anyone.

It is, however, the stories about Kent which are the more intriguing though. Some sources claim alternative English clubs are interested in signing him next month, while others suggest his loan was in fact until next month in the first place despite it being reported to be for the full season.

That said Kent will be out for the foreseeable future with another muscle problem, this time in the other leg to the one which saw him sidelined for some weeks, and regardless of this his form definitely peaked v Rapid and Hearts and has frankly faded since then, injury notwithstanding.

But it’s this surprise news that he may, in one form or another, be following Sadiq out the door that is the most intriguing.

We’ll keep you posted.

  1. This guy was being praised of the boards when he signed another one that fell flat on his face. Do you think these are all mistake signings by our manager and if it is we can only allow this to happen once otherwise it's P45 time for Stevie G and co.

  2. If he doesn't go in January he will go in May so I don't really see the problem. Let's go with our own players Middleton or Grezda. We can add next season and we will have Murphy coming back too. Or it could open the door to Jones coming in for free if Gerrard fancies him.

  3. Get shot of all the Loanees! Our own guys need a chance! We paid 2 million for Grezda, he needs to play! Candieas on the right & Middleton as back up….in the MF I don't rate Ejaria & Coulibaly, I'd go with Jack, McCrorie & Arfield as the MF 3 until (if) Davis returns then play him beside Jack & Arfield…..Dont get me started on Worrel
