Rangers crunch; hype builds over one standout name…

Rangers face Hibs tomorrow in a crucial encounter which may help shape the rest of ‘Gers’ season, and with Neil Lennon’s men fresh off the back of a colossal win over Celtic Steven Gerrard won’t take the encounter lightly in the slightest.

However, a big deal has been made of the fact we’ll be facing our ex-loan player Emerson Hyndman for the first time since he left, the Bournemouth midfielder now plying his trade in Edinburgh of course.

But do Rangers have anything to fear from a player who didn’t really live up to the expectations we had of him?

We may be jinxing it, but for the American international attacking midfielder to have scored only one goal in 14 appearances while managing no assists whatsoever rather sums up his ineffectiveness.

Indeed, you could argue he’s their Ovie Ejaria, with more of a reputation and potential of promise than actual delivery of quality on the pitch.

Naturally, we’ve put our foot in it, and he’ll absolutely storm tomorrow night Scott Allan style, but if all is pure and holy, he’s one player who threatens far more theoretically than he actually produces on the pitch.

  1. I don`t know how it will go tonight and how well Hyndman is playing for Hibs but I do know he was one of the better loan signings we have had over the last few years .He scored some good goals and was creative in midfield until Mad Pedro came in and moved him to the wing .Would love to have seen him signed permanently or brought back on loan before Ejaria. Pity that he went to Hibs but apart from games against us I wish him good luck with his career.
