A deeply worrying turn of events for Rangers midfielder

After the deeply worrying news about Graham Dorrans breaking down again in training, Steven Gerrard’s update yesterday only compounded the rather disturbing turn of events for the ex-Norwich man.

As we know, Dorrans’ Rangers career has been completely destroyed by injury, but following his wonderful cameo in Spain looked like he was on his way back with a level of quality that could help raise the entire team.

Unfortunately, Gerrard confirmed he’d suffered yet another setback and has subsequently updated us with a genuinely concerning addition to the news.

Speaking in his pre-Spartak presser, he said:

“Still waiting for one (an update), he’s been to see a surgeon in the last couple of days so we’re analysing what’s come back and then Graham and the medical department will make a decision on the next move so that’s one that’s getting spoken about now.”

This is far from good news. The fact that the next step is so up in the air, and could be anything at this stage doesn’t bode well at all for a positive prognosis.

Quite honestly at this point we’ve stopped caring about his prospects of enhancing the side, and we are now only focused on him regaining full physical health, and hope he can do so as soon as he can regardless of whether he is playing football or not. At his age, continually breaking down is a very concerning sign, and following a domino chain of setbacks in the past 12+ months of his career the outlook is starting to seem very bleak.

The base fact he broke down in training again and had to consult a surgeon for the umpteenth occasion does suggest an ominous diagnosis, and we just hope the decision he and the docs make works out the best for his health.

  1. I do think Dorrans will make it back from Injury (Obviously)

…However, When He comes back from Injury, I don't think He will be the same player.
