With another season
underway, Rangers fans will be expecting some unforgettable moments in the year
ahead. With that in mind, what better time to look back at the most defining
events in Scottish football’s colourful past?
Of course, every Rangers fan will have their own favourite memories that they carry with them each time they walk into Ibrox. Nevertheless, DC Thomson have bravely undertaken the task of compiling the greatest moments in Scottish football history, featuring 100 classic memories.
The interactive list was created with contributions from fans across the country, and marks the release of Lifted Over The Turnstiles, a book that brings together incredible unseen photos and stories from the grounds where legends were made.
As expected, there are plenty of outstanding memories from the Bears, including: lifting the European Cup Winners’ Cup, Helicopter Sunday, Davie Cooper juggling the ball around Celtic defenders, and even Gazza booking referee Dougie Smith.

Everone remembers Helicopter Sunday but I preferred the 6-1 Dunfermline game a few years before while Ceptic fell short with a 4-0 win at Kilmarnock prompting Chris Sutton to announce to the world what a prick he was. I was up and down like a whores knickers as both games swung from one side to the other.
