Sudden five player exodus on the cards at Ibrox

Rangers could be set for a dramatic five-player exodus in the next 24 hours according to reports.

With Brighton said to be lining up a eleventh-hour bid for James Tavernier, four other players appear vulnerable to moving on.

Josh Windass is interesting Ipswich. After initial claims of a £2M bid for the attacker filtered through, the bid has been updated to a more modest £1.4M, and it does seem that the former Accrington man could well make the move out of Govan.

Meanwhile Bristol apparently want deputy goalkeeper Jak Alnwick on a loan basis, which would presumably see a promotion for either former number one Wes Foderingham or Robbie McCrorie. Our money is on the latter.

Then there’s Lee Hodson; last he heard he was in Canada for a medical with MLS side Montreal Impact, and we’d certainly hope Rangers are getting a fee for him given he himself wasn’t a free.

Next up site favourite Greg Docherty – it does appear that he will leave on loan – Shrewsbury seems the destination after Sunderland’s Jack Ross dismissed the reports of interest. We’re disappointed he’s not part of SG’s plans this season, and we imagine he isn’t really part of them period, given the loan signing of Lassana Coulibaly for his position.

And last but not least… nah, that’s it! For now, anyway.

With the English window closing tomorrow, expect even more speculation over the next 24 hours.

  1. Sell Tav
    Sell Windyarse
    Hope Hodson goes
Gutted if Jak goes, a perfect number 2, get rid of Wes
Docherty out on loan but for 6 months

    • And what happens to the ref? fuck all,he should be fined at least prick

      LETS GO WATP 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

    • Well we all said we wanted a clearout at the start of the season,so thats what we've got

      LETS GO WATP 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

    • So correct Joe, we suffered badly on decisions last year, as we have for many years now. At least we have a manager prepared to voice his derision about how we are dealt with by the SPFL, SFA, referees and the media.
It is also good to note ex players who are in Rangers camp and those against. Even ex Rangers players who have been against us namely; Gordon Dalziell, StevieThomson and the usual anti-Rangers mob. It was good to note an article from Lee McCulloch about how unfit our match officials were and criticism of Clancy’s performance from Gordon Smith (pundit for the game on BBC 5-live) and Ally McCoist. Kris Boyd, although not sympathetic to the red card made us all aware of the antics of McKenna. McKenna was almost certain to e a Celtic player this week had he not been injured.

  2. shhh…don't start talking fees for Hodson in case we put them off. Free would be fine for me, or maybe we'll even give them a few bob to take him off our hands. If it falls through we could maybe arrange a swap for him somewhere – I heard Accrington Stanley had a sofa in their reception we liked the look of.

  3. Lets hope that we get the right money for all the dealings we will make before the windows close . Tavernier good servant to Rangers great going forward not the best defender, sell for a good price and profit , Windass has potential but he seems not to want to take advantage of chances he is given, sell for a good profit. Fotheringham sell please …keep Alnwick . Sell Hodson. As for the Rescinded Red Card it was obvious to everyone at the game, watching the game on TV etc Jungle J Andy Walker Apart !!!! That it was not a Red Card never !!!! once again the bent SFA SPFL system did their worst and cost us the game the bastards !!!!! Clancy is as we know a balloon with a bigoted agenda !!!

  4. The hard truth is not one of those players would get in a strong rangers team…..that is what our leader is building.

Don't believe their own press, come May they will be very firmly back in their box.Not a doubt in my mind, that these players will perform.WATP

    • Fucking daft even thinking about Tav going

      Get rid of:-
      Dorrans
      Jak
      Wes
      Halliday
      Hodson
Windass , IF Replaced but not at under £4m

  5. Only sell Tavernier and Windass for significant money. Windass may not be everyone's favourite but where will we get a young player that can score 18 goals a season for £1.4m. Tavernier is our Captain, is in good form and an important attacking player for us. £5m (that gets you Martin Waghorn down there)or chase them.

    • I totally agree ..imo we should be keeping Windass …I think he's got something about him ..just needs some good feedback from the crowd ..to regain his confidence ..were gonna regret selling him

  6. A few things to consider here.
A lot of the talk on social media revolves around where the money is coming from for all the new signings.
This is simply down to basic accounting..there are as many players moving out as coming in.
Next. The placement of Gerrard as Manager has clearly raised the profile of the club on an international level. As a result, this has attracted a higher level of player willing to sign up. These individuals will probably see this an opportunity to further their careers eventually on a bigger stage, particularly if the club performs well on the European stage.
Consequently, their transfer value will increase.
Speculate to accumulate, as one of my old bosses used to say to me.
    As far as Tav goes…
An enigma [puzzle} if ever there was one. As a defender, often errant and culpable.
As a forwardly moving player, though, he has potent qualities.
Can deliver a dangerous cross, hit a free kick or penalty with accuracy nine times out of ten.
Get Flanagan into his his natural position on the right, and release Tav to do what he does best up ahead of him.
On another scale, one thing the team will certainly have in their favour this season is the element of surprise, by way of the rapid fire nature of mostly unfamiliar signings, and unpredictability of formations Gerrard has in mind.
I have never betted on anything in my whole life, but I retain a keen interest in suggested odds. 12 TO 1 ON CELTIC, it appears, in some circles.
    Now is the time. WATP.

  7. Get that imposter Halliday to fuck. It does my tits in when I see the bastard cutting about. Embarrassing.

  8. Sell
Tavernier, Windass, Hodson, Halliday, Foderingham, Rossiter, Pena, Herrera

    Keep Alnwick!
    Stevie are you Mad?!
Jak is a Deadly No.2 for McGregor!
    Sell Wes!

Also I hope that This Loan for Docherty is just Temporary and Stevie Aint gonna sell him 🤔

  9. my pet hate is ex celtic players covering rangers games and vice verse can t listen to that numpty walker they must say the same about our ex players covering there games so keep us to us and them to them
