“I’d LOVE Rangers to beat Celtic” – ex-Chelsea star firmly plants his blue mast

Former Chelsea midfielder Dennis Wise has admitted he’s firmly in Rangers’ camp for the upcoming Old Firm match next month.

The recently-turned reality TV show star and former England international was speaking on Sky Sports’ Debate show, and made it clear how eagerly he wants Rangers to beat Celtic at Parkhead.

He said:

“I would LOVE them to get a result (against Celtic), love it, because that puts pressure on Celtic. It would open up a gap.”

Wise may not have been the most popular chap in football history it must be said, with a few ignominious acts in his past (ask Callum Davidson), but few of a Light Blue persuasion would fail to welcome his sentiments here.

Indeed Mr Wise, we are with you on this one – we all too would LOVE to get a result as well and going by recent form and Celtic’s current malaise, it may just be possible.

  1. Good to hear a bit of support for us I would have loved wisey to have played for us back in the day.
I.N explain "light blues"? When did we become light blues? We play in royal blue! We have never played in light blue! Man city play in light blue. We play in royal blue. I've asked a few people where n when this came from, nobody seems to know?

    • It goes back to the early days of the Gallant Pioneers the team played in light blue shirts for the first load of years since we were formed and definitely sure at some point we wore blue and white hooped tops as well.

  2. Yass! Everyone is Getting On
    The Stevie G Rangers Train!!

    Cheers Dennis! 😃💪

Given Their Current Problems, Now is probably the perfect time to play them!

    Lets Go!! 😁🔴⚪⭕

  3. Whatever colour of blue…its hardly the topic of conversation lol. Weve had a couple of light blue strips. If it means beating cwltic we can wear pink for all I care…

  4. We should be gettjng closer to chelsea, good relations already between the teams and the fans, we need to get in there and make it official. Play them in a friendly every 2 years, become a finsihing school for their elite level loan players. Just my 2 cents.
