Two out, one in, one finished - latest transfer roundup from Ibrox

Steven Gerrard’s summer work at Ibrox is set to continue, with further incomings and outgoings reported from various sources and outlets.

Ibrox Noise takes you through the best of it:

Lee Hodson is set to finally be relieved his Rangers misery – the full back has had a terrible time of it at Ibrox and the Northern Irish cap has been reportedly told he is no longer required – claims of ‘mutual consent’ are imminent. He was excluded from the UEL squad for tomorrow’s flight to Croatia. He really didn’t get much of a chance in Govan, if we’re honest. James Tavernier was always first choice and Hodson acquitted himself well enough on the right side during his rare starts, but struggled badly on the left. He held himself well though, and didn’t complain – if he is to move on he does so with our best wishes.

Josh Windass is said to be a target for a clutch of upper Championship and lower EPL clubs, with claims made by some outlets that his father Dean was simply wrong about a £3M escape clause. Instead, that is said to be the sum Rangers seek for him, and reports suggest the 24-year old attacker will be benched for the trip to Osijek this week. If he is, we can probably assume it’s transfer related.

Rangers have given up on Jake Cooper - £2M was the final bid as reported by Sky Sources, and Millwall weren’t interested in that or any other sum for their star player. It’s finished now and Rangers have moved on.

And moved on, it seems, to a plan B of Bolton’s 28-year old stopper Mark Beevers. Never played in the English top flight and just one England youth cap, but a known tough customer, fan reaction to his name being mentioned in Rangers circles by the Daily Express has been mixed, with some claiming it’s resembles a ‘Warburton signing’ while others think a robust stopper like he would thrive in the SPL.

We don’t think our summer business is quite over yet either…
