Rangers signing target spotted in Glasgow for medical; reports

According to a user on popular Rangers forum Follow Follow, Rangers loan signing target Umar Sadiq has been spotted in Glasgow for a medical.

The user claims to have seen the young striker in full Roma garb ready to undergo a full physical in Glasgow, in lieu of a potential clinching signature tonight which would get the Nigerian into Rangers’ shirt in time for next Thursday’s Europa League opener.

The 21 year old forward, who followed Rangers on social media channels yesterday, has been linked with the loan switch to Ibrox for some weeks now, and it’s taken a little time to get the deal over the line.

But the acquisition of such a promising striker would be the first significant heavy hitting striker signing of the Steven Gerrard era and would give Rangers’ manager the option of a pairing up front with Colombian Alfredo Morelos should it be preferred.

Rangers striking options have been a bit thin of late, and this would be a welcome boost.

  1. This is the signing I've been the least excited about. Hopefully it works out well. Still hoping for a Danny Ings type signing for upfront.

  2. Our medicals now appear to be done in Manchester. Also why would he wear full Roma gear to come to us!? Did Alves go to Italy in a training top and shorts!? No doubt the lad will sign but I think you have been led up the garden path here
