Another Rangers target to have a think about…

Article by: Richard

Lassana
Coulibaly the 6’ tall, versatile midfield playmaker is still only 22 and plays
for Angers in
the top French League, has reportedly become a new signing target that’s been
recommended strongly to Rangers.
I decided to
delve into my numerous contacts in the football world, to gain as much
information on Lassana as I could muster to share with Ibrox Noise.
He has been a
Glasgow Rangers supporter since he was a 4-year-old living in Mali, and can rhyme off nearly every player that
ever played for the most famous team in Europe.
Lassana loves Lasagne, but his favourite meal is still haggis, tatties.
He used to pray
every night that Steven Gerrard would one day become the Rangers manager and
when it happened, he would come and play for us on a 1-year-loan deal. (These
details were all supplied to me by fake news).
Before being
allowed to play for his dream team, the move will be subject to gaining the
work permit being approved, due to the fact that he doesn’t qualify
automatically for one.
Coulibaly’s
displays for French side Bastia that led to the Mali
international coaches selecting him for the U20’s side that played in the 2016
Toulon Tournament.
He made his
debut for the Mali international team the Africa Cup of Nations qualification
game against West African team Benin when winning 5-2 on 4 September 2016, and
he really did impress in both competitions.
He has
developed into a regular holding midfield player for the Mali national
side and has played 9 games for them, so far.
This is when he
came to prominence by catching the eye of a few British coaches who have kept
an eye on his progress ever since.
He is strong,
fast, works extremely hard and seemingly is a pleasure to work with.
Coulibaly would offer extra pace, strength, height and physicality which has been missing from
the Rangers engine room for a few years’ now.
Stéphane Moulin
is the current Angers manager who appears to be
keen on Coulibaly gaining more first team experience away from France. Since
he signed Vincent Pajot, the 27-year-old defensive midfielder from Saint-Etienne, he felt
that Coulibaly could benefit from another year’s first team experience playing elsewhere.

It’s odds on for him to make his move to Ibrox with most bookmakers, whilst you may find a little more value across the the best online betting offers sites – has Steven Gerrard got close with Rangers’ chances of signing him?

Coulibaly could be an asset to Rangers as they were often
overrun in midfield, especially against a fitter and more physical Celtic side.
Lassana’s power and pace should help
during the next campaign.

Gerrard has really surprised supporters with the large amount
of quality players he has been allowed to bring to Ibrox this summer, and he
looks to be bringing in a few more.
It was explained to Lassana that Rangers would be an ideal place to further his
blossoming career.
After all he
will be fulfilling his childhood dream (Ha ha).
