Another injury blow as key Rangers man to miss Dundee

Rangers manager Graeme Murty has confirmed star forward Josh Windass is out of tomorrow’s clash with Dundee and is a major doubt for next weekend’s Old Firm clash with Celtic as well.

The 24-year old forward sustained an ‘impact injury’ as a result of an altercation with Cedric Kipre (him again) and did not take part in training this week. The forward will not be involved in the match day squad tomorrow when Neil McCann’s men come to Govan, meaning a reshuffle of almost certainly Graham Dorrans in Windass’ position and either Sean Goss or Ross McCrorie taking Dorrans’ slot next to Greg Docherty.

In truth, Windass’ loss is compensated by the former Scottish international’s own return to fitness quite neatly, and Dorrans would be playing in his best position at long last.

Nevertheless, Windass’ goalscoring exploits the past few months will be a big blow and after the damage he did to Celtic last time, Murty will be praying the forward gets fit in time.
