Two Caixinha signings on verge of exits

January’s transfer window has certainly got going in earnest with only three days gone and a host of switches underway.

The three definite returning players of Michael O’Halloran, Joe Dodoo and Andy Halliday are reportedly already back at Ibrox, while reports persist regarding Harry Forrester’s possible return too, and Rangers have confirmed the loan signing of QPR’s midfielder Sean Goss.

Meanwhile two of Pedro Caixinha’s biggest disasters are on their way out, both apparently as loans.

Carlos Pena looks certain to join Azul Cruz and reunite with ex-manager Pedro Caixinha. Frankly the two of them are welcome to each other, while even worse flop Aaron Nemane is off to the Dutch second division and Go Ahead Eagles.

It may mark the window where Rangers tried to shift away as much of the dead wood Caixinha (and frankly Mark Allen) brought in last summer, while making sweeping changes the other way too.

Unfortunately, for Rangers fans, the signing of Goss has not exactly been greeted with huge enthusiasm by the support at large, with questions over how useful a player deemed insufficient for QPR can possibly be for Rangers.

Curiously enough, the same questions were asked about a Cardiff ‘reject’ too and Declan John has ended up one of our best players.

This really is an important window for Allen – if fans judged him by Nemane, it was not exactly flattering – he will be hoping for much better from this window.

  1. Good start…..yes previous post talks about Nemane….if good enough he would have figure….as for Penis…..for some reason we couldn't involve him when he arrived and can't include him much now!

Not having a dig mate…..just think about it……left side player going back as not ready…moves afoot to bring in a left sided player….Murphy?…..Pena ….I'm 58….ud get more out of me….

  2. Shame about Pena, he can play football and 5 goal in 14 games for an out of form unhappy midfielder is good! Just looks like his heart isn't in it to ever get the best from him. Time to go..

  3. OMG never going to keep our supporters happy.
1 minute they want us to buy cheap and sell with big profit.
Spot on John got EXACTLY the same reception, as U say he's a cracking find for hehaw. Goss could be exactly the same and if he's not bye bye come May if he's a Rangers player hand him a pen simple.
Very good business by the club, give credit where it's due!!
If we go for proven internationals they cost 12M and upwards.
We may be able to get a decent nr10 at the end of his career who wants to play for the Rangers (That's our Limit)

For the record Mark Allan had ZERO input into Pedro's signings they were already pre determined before he arrived. This is his first window so please judge him post window.

I expect Pena, Herrera & Cordoso all to leave this window, they don't really want to be in Sunny Scotkand!!!

  4. Feel like this article is just setting g Mark Allen up criticism, not very productive, he managed to bring in a young lad from Mega bucks City and the lad didn't get game time. Not his fault,
As for Pena I thought he showed glimpses of class hoped like f##k he'd work out but it seems not to be, hopefully get a good return on him value wise if not keep him!

  5. If Goss has a point to prove, could turn out like Declan John. You don't get signed for Man U if your no good. Need to see what the lad does.

  6. Goss is here till end of season and he is also not surplus to requirements at qpr as they want him back. This signing is pointless as there won't be any return for him. This site is dross and normally just rehashed news with extra shite in them that's often not required and to mention Allen and nemmmanannane as if this guy is to be judged on an under 21 player he has worked for and hasn't cost us a penny is just rediculous and man u definitely sign pish players at all levels
