Rangers striker target potentially open to Ibrox move

Rangers target Jason Cummings has not ruled out a switch to Ibrox, according to reports, but is willing to wait on talks with new Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka (himself once linked to the manager vacancy at Ibrox) before deciding on his next move.

The 22-year old striker has found the going tough in the Championship, with few goals and generally unconvincing displays, and is said to be eying a return north, but would rather wait for to see what plans the new manager has for him before making a decision.

Reports claimed Forest had in fact offered him to a host of SPL sides, Rangers included, on loan, but Rangers’ interest is said to be a seven-figure permanent signing.

However, Karanka has to decide which players are in his vision going forward and which ones are surplus - Cummings may well be the latter which would strengthen Rangers’ hand if the Ibrox men are truly serious about bringing him back to Scotland.

We will see what develops with this story.

  1. In all honesty I wouldn't be against the idea of signing Cummings he is decent and still young with potentially a good sell on value. Although I despised him when he was at hibs but I'm prepared to give him a chance and let bygones be bygones.

  2. do you believe what you write.
We wanted Murphy on a perm deal but couldn't afford it. Another shambles by the board.
Now if am to believe what you are saying we have knocked back a loan deal for Cummings because we want to buy him instead.
    Aye, no problem mate.
Open your eyes, we are getting taken for mugs by king & this rouge board

  3. Surely he's no longer worth 1million. If Mckay is worth £500k according to forrest and is considered a successful signing then surely Cummings is now worth less than Mckay,

  4. Be honest, a player who was screamed at from all sides of Ibrox as 'Paedo Paedo Paedo' if there was believed to be any substance to that cry, why would you want him?

    Or was it purely banter?

  7. Can't see us being able to afford to buy him when we couldn't buy Murphy. Think it may be a loan deal unless a Championship club offer £750k for Windass to give us the funds. Pity Forest couldn't do us a straight swap!

  9. See I'm getting pissed off now with all this talk we want to buy this guy we want to buy that guy. At the end of the day we are not the draw we once we're. Cummings may come on loan yes but as for devente vole not a hope on he'll. If true Leeds United are interested then we gave no chance. Gone are the days we can beat Man United to a player i.e Ronald de boer. We will struggle to compete with Championship sides one because they can offer more money but 2 we are not the force we were. Unless a player supports Rangers ala Murphy then we have no chance. We ate not in champions league most seasons anymore and we don't win the league so we just don't have the funds available anymore. Why would Devente Cole want to come to Rangers to play for a season or two then be sold to a championship club? When he can cut out the middle man and go straight there. We will not be able to sell him to a bpl club if that's the stepping stone we once we're as when was the last time we sold a player to a bpl club?

Until we get a new board who can appoint a respected coach/manager and give the required funds to that guy we are going to be second third or fourth best in Scotland.

I'm sorry guys but I don't see any of that happening in the near future so we have to sit back n take the pain on the chin of watching the Manky mob across the city win title after title. Thanks to Mr Murray, whyte, Green and now King. How many years it's going to us to win another title and be back in the champions league is anyone's guess. Right now we have to put up with Bargain Basement shite as per. Hopefully we don't have to long of a wait but for the time being please cut out the bullshit it's not needed. Giving the fans false hope. Let's face facts who out of the current team would get into a Rangers Squad we are all used to? I will go for 2 at a push. Morelos for one and tav the other. The rest are mediocre are best.

Wake up n smell the coffee my fellow bears. WATP Rtid
