Rangers back in for ex-midfield target; reports

Rangers have again been linked with Fulham’s Kevin McDonald, with reports today the 29 year old midfielder is being coveted by Graeme Murty along with Tony Pulis’ Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday.

The former Dundee man, never capped at senior level for Scotland incidentally, is still very much part of plans at Craven Cottage and played as recently as Saturday’s FA Cup loss to Southampton.

The reputed price tag on his head is £1.5M and it is unknown if that is a valuation Rangers are willing or able to make, but it is yet another name to add to the list that Rangers have been connected to in recent times.

He was loosely linked last summer under Pedro Caixinha but nothing came of that interest and the Championship midfielder has had a good season in London so far this campaign, even managing an assist in October (not normally his strongest suit, being a defensive midfielder).

So this could be Rangers, along with Greg Docherty and possibly Sean Goss, finally trying to deal with the anchor midfield headache.

  1. McDonald is way ahead of any midfielder we currently have. Can't see him fancying the move but would be a brilliant capture if we could get him.

  2. Tbh the anchor man position has been sorted for me that is mcrories position he must not b moved in my opinion don’t fix wats not broken. Mcrorie is wat we have been missing in there sheer steel n commitment never say die attitude n also quality he must remain there.

  3. Not sure where this lad would play especially if Dorrans can get properly fit ..I for one would rather spend the money on Jason Cummings he is the piece of the Jigsaw we need to really get at the Rotten Mob both this season and next 2 to stop any chance of 10 in a row … I would also spend the money on a young CH who could be brought along I like the lad at Dundee but he is a little lightweight …Onwards WATP

  4. I can't see where we will get the money to buy anyone. unless we can sell some of the pish that fills our team.
