Murray Park trialist earns deal?

Increasing speculation from Murray Park this evening has suggested trialist Mehki Leacock-Mcleod has signed a deal with Rangers to secure his future at Ibrox.

The 19-year old Wolves winger has been trying to impress Mark Warburton at Auchenhowie and with significant doubts lingering over the Michael O’Halloran deal, rumours persist that the young attacker has been brought in as cover for that position, or maybe even more.

Warburton’s pursuit of the St Johnstone attacker has become a saga with no obvious end in sight, and with Falkirk coming to Ibrox in only four days, Rangers require a few new faces as soon as possible, although it is unclear whether Mcleod has been brought in for the Academy ala Jordan Thompson or he is outright viewed as first-team fodder like Dominic Ball, the-now departed Nathan Oduwa and Arsenal midfielder Gedion Zelalem.

With time running out to secure new faces, we will see over the next few days if Mcleod is indeed confirmed at Ibrox or not, and who else may still yet sign up at Govan.

  1. I think it's time we returned Zelalem to Arsenal. He hasn't and doesn't look like delivering anything like we'd hoped for.

  2. Where are the Jim mc Coll's & Brian Kennedy's now that the club is trying to move
forward.I'm sure they could bring much needed investment & expertise to the boardroom. I would also like to see the club
strengthen behind the scenes with guys like
Walter& Souness getting involved in some
    capacity.

    • A Rangers director has already stated as much on broadening the directorship of the club.Let's diminish Fatty Ashley first.June/July should do it.

    • Agent green. Agent green. We see you. Your skills become more honed: no talk of ashley but plenty to break up the current harmony. But we still see you.

  3. He's a good football player but he's came to us too early, rangers need an investor, there's too much scrimping and scraping going on,king is a lying bastard, this summer will be crucial if we win the league,if people think we can compete in that league then think again

    • No need to disrespect the very people striving to restore Rangers to the top spot in Scottish football. Stop reading Rags that scream their vile and twisted stories about Rangers. If and when there is anything happening with new signings the club's webpage will tell you about it. Five points ahead and looking forward to increasing that number over the next few weeks. So much to look forward to, just support the team and let the maggots feed on themselves.

    • No need to disrespect the very people working hard to restore Rangers to the top of Scottish football. We are five points clear and looking forward to increasing that number over the next few weeks.Stop reading anti-Rangers rags with vile and untrue tales about our club. Support our team, all the way to the top of the Scottish Premier League. It's coming a lot quicker than you seem to think. MW has said he will get his new guys in. Believe him.

  4. I dont think the boy will get a game MW always talks about settling the team & i think the new guy Forrester will get more game time & hopefully get his feet under the table [ and a goal wouldnt go amiss] I also hope you are correct inyour king assumptions as he has been a bit quiet of late, When we identify a target i would like him to come out & say we can or cant afford him rather than althis fannyin about its embarrising, I know we have to cut our cloth accodingly but we are arguing over pennies here!

  5. Arguing over pennies? I think not.

£170k offered for O'Halloran which includes £50k for participation in the last 16 of the Champions League……so we can deduct that right away which leaves £120k on the table….. £60k deposit, £60k on tick.
St J are looking for around £450/£500k…..it's not pennies, our offer was rightly criticised by Tommy Wright as peanuts and quite rightly so.

    • if o'halloran is so good – 500k good – then why aren't clubs lining up to sign him? I think he's worth a punt @ 250k max.Somehow I don't think his heart is in it for a move to Gers (if it was Sellick he'd have his transfer request in and be commenting to all the papers). Surely there's better players than him in English Lge 1 who wouldn't be as pricey and would feel honoured to join our club.
