Gostomski to be offered deal

According to reports, on-trial Maciej Gostomski has impressed Rangers manager Mark Warburton enough to offer the giant goalkeeper a permanent deal at Ibrox.

The 27 year old former Lech Poznan stopper, whose deal with the Poles ran out on the 31st of last month, has been at Murray Park for some weeks now to earn a deal as competition for established number one Wes Foderingham, and it appears he has done enough to convince The Magic Hat that he is good enough.

The contract is reportedly the same as fellow winter signing Harry Forrester, with expiration around this summer, but like the former Doncaster Rovers playmaker, presumably if the move goes well, the length will be extended.

This would leave perennially-injured Cammy Bell as effectively surplus, with supposed rumours linking the ex-Kilmarnock ‘keeper with a move to relegation-doomed Dundee United.

This also coincides with on-loan Gedion Zelalem’s deal being likewise increased to June.

  1. Seems promising, Fed needs the competition,, he isnt the best keeper within his 6 yard box, but then again, I have never rated Jim Stewart as a goal keeper coach either. Id bring in Goram as coach. But this lad looks good. Time will tell.

  2. I agree, seems like a decent bit of business, however I very much doubt the Bell to Dundee Utd rumours have any legs to them as they have just signed the Japanese guy in goals.
