Report: Zelalem loan extended

According to reports, Rangers and Arsenal have agreed a further six months for on-loan Emirates star Gedion Zelalem to continue plying his trade at Ibrox.

The 18-year old playmaker has been a revelation for Rangers, proving himself every inch the potential future superstar his ability promises, and Ibrox boss Mark Warburton has been in talks to have his loan from Arsenal extended, which was initially the plan if all parties were pliable.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal have been pretty impressive this season, and right now it would be hard for an Academy product to break through into his first team, so Warburton’s Rangers is perfect development ground for the youngster, who has frankly strolled through life in the Championship.

It now looks certain his loan from the Emirates will continue until next summer. Whether Wenger consents to anything beyond that, only time will tell, but Warburton would surely be keen for that too.

  1. I grew up being told rangers & arsenal always had a good relationship even as far back as the early 1900's when our manager william wilton and their manager herbert chapman became very friendly with us helping the arsenal out financially when they were in difficulties and when they eventually got on their feet they gave us as a present for our generosity which was woolwich arsenal shares which meant we owned a piece of the arsenal until that waste of space craig whyte sold the shares we had in the gunners,I'm now very pleased that rangers & arsenal now seem to be building up a very good relationship once again!

  2. Zelalem is awful can not make a simple pass does not bring anything to the team .Terminate his contract not extend it.

  3. I dont agree he can be a bit of a 1 trick pony but i think he will get better & TBH who else have we got to replace him & you must admit he has been loads better than the sh*te we have had to put up with for the past 3/4 years
