Rangers defender goes out on loan

Rangers’ Canadian youth defender Luca Gasparotto has gone back out on loan, this time to Greenock Morton.

The 20-year old CB was out on loan at Airdrieonians already last season, and returned in May, but finds himself exiting again this time for Cappielow.

The Canadian youth (and senior) international cap, recently selected for the national team’s camps, had this to say on his latest loan:

“Excited to be joining Morton on loan until January! Looking forward to the first game tomorrow.”

Gasparotto’s entire time at Ibrox has been punctuated with loans, and the North American has not managed to breach the first team, reportedly having an especially poor match versus Alloa, which the U20s lost 5-2.

His contract expires next summer and one can only assume he will be released when that time comes, or will find his contract terminated (with mutual consent, of course) when his latest spell away from Ibrox expires.

  1. I am pleased that 20 year old Rangers’ Canadian centre half Luca Gasparotto is now out on loan to Morton until January 2016. If he has a great 5 months playing regular first team football, it will be a big benefit to us.

He was a huge success with Airdrie last season and at only 20 he has time on his side to eventually make it at Ibrox.

  2. The boy is totally over rated.I've seen him play many a time and he's just not good enough. All the best to him though.

  3. Just back from game, we controlled it but wee bit nervy at 2 1 but New team still and played 3rd best team in the league and won, need to more clinical up front but I'm happy watp

  4. Got to consider a move 4 another striker,
Stevie may or a audacious move 4
Jelavic. What' s happening wae the big man, could be wort another crack under warns?

  5. I'd try for Adam Rooney or get Viukic back, no chance of jelavic coming, he's on 42 k a week but we can always dream, Weiss wants to come to us but he is on 40 k a week, we can't pay anything near that, we are going down slowly even 1st and 2nd div clubs in England are richer than us, way it is, feel I'll

  6. Just hope the Scott Allan situation doesn't cause friction between hibs and rangers, we have always been brothers in arms and had mutual respect for each other , hope things won't change because of the Scott Allan saga , would be immature and small minded by both sets of supporters to hold grudges, life is too short PS Stubbs pick your p45 up ya prick WATP

  7. King is tight or skint, eitherway gers have no money to even pay good wages let alone pay for an average player, king has hoodwinked us. , fans have put money into club, complete sell out tonight, king promised millions and hasn't put 1p into club, he borrowed 2.5m off park and has till December to pay that back and Ashley still owed 5 m, he can't sell assets but Ashley can legally stop rangers entering Murray park, where is the transparency king promised???? Sorry forgot he doesn't speak to fans anymore because he is in and that's all that matters ,me myself and I
