Celtic to bid for Scott Allan

92

After months of the Scott Allan
saga, today the story took another twist when Sky Sources reported Celtic have
taken an interest in the playmaker.
Allan, who put in a transfer
request a number of weeks ago, has long been known as a Rangers fan and is
eager to clinch his dream move to Ibrox, but this latest development will
certainly test that resolve.

Celtic do not lack the finances
to bid what Hibs claim they want for the player, but it now looks like Allan
either stays at Easter Road, holds on for the pre-contract to Ibrox in January,
or switches to Parkhead now.
“BREAKING: Sky Sources: Celtic
interested in Rangers’ transfer target Scott Allan of Hibernian”
There is little doubt this would
be a petty snipe at Rangers, given Celtic arguably do not need the player, but
it definitely fits into one of those ‘twists’ of the transfer window I
anticipated occurring.

  1. The asking price is £1000000. Where's the money Mr king you said we are going to play in Europe if that is true you will have to put your money where your mouth.is. If you want to play with the big boys you need to start showing us you really mean it. Where's the season ticket money gone all on wages???

  2. We will run our club properly and not pay over the odds for ANY player. Allan has demonstrated nothing but greed. I wonder the last time he actually SUPPORTED rangers???? Lets move on. We will win the league without him. Good enough for me. WATP.

  3. Dave, you have a point but rangers feeble attempt to get Allan was embarrassing for the club but Allan hasn't covered himself in glory, it has been a shambles start to finish.

  4. Embassy coupons, ginger bottles and add ons based on winning automatic promotion and Champion League qualification ……no wonder Allan is signing for the Tims.

Monthly wages also guaranteed against pay day loans especially now that Park has walked……3 bears loans, Park, to be repaid in December……Where's the £5m coming from, and lest we forget Ash is still owed £5m………share issue, if possible most will go in repayment of loans within days , then what?

  5. Not pay over the odds? Are you deaf , King promised over investment and spend whatever it takes……Go Dave in you we trust, my archive!

  6. I'm not a season book holder but I got 2 Alloa tickets for Sunday and I ripped them up earlier and regret it now but the Scott Allan thing made me mad, I'm 75 years old and remember when someone's word was the bond, it's all money now, football has died today

    • How is choosing a team in the top division, with European football secured, the biggest stadium in the country and the best chance at winning medals not a footballing decision?

Rangers play in the second tier of Scottish football, where they finished 3rd last year. They have no chance of European football any time soon and can't guarantee that wages will be paid the whole season.

Who wouldn't choose the bigger club?
