Cathro enters talks with Rangers?

Reports today claim Rangers
managerial target Ian Cathro held talks last week with representatives from
Ibrox.
The Valencia
assistant coach has been optimistically linked with Rangers for some time now,
with a view to fitting the ‘young head coach’ philosophy Dave King has
preached, but it was conceived his near future at least was stamped to the
Mestalla given Valencia’s
qualification for the Champions League qualifying fourth round.

The Spanish cracks finished
fourth in La Liga so do have the grief of a playoff tie against a glut of top
sides including Serie A giants Lazio, but Cathro is said to have nevertheless
engaged in preliminary talks with Rangers regarding a head coach under the
Director of Football model previously mooted.
He remains an outside bet given Derek
McInnes and Mark Warburton are still in ‘pole position’, with Vitor Pereira remaining on the horizon, but things can change quickly in football.

  1. Is there any chance if say they get Cathro , could maybe they bring Weir in with him , just a question. I think it would good idea.

  2. He would be a gamble but I think a gamble worth taking. Definitely my 1st choice. I think the director of football could may well be Felix Magath.

  3. I don't care who gets the managers, jobjust want a guy who plays, good football …but most importantly gets the gutless cowardly players, out of the club asap …..bring in a new set if possible and start well …if not hibs will walk it …play offs again …and fans fuming
