Transfer speculation intensifies after McCulloch & Mohsni ‘get injured’

As we now know, neither Bilel
Mohsni or Lee McCulloch travelled with Rangers’ squad to face Queen of the
South yesterday.
There was pre-match fervour over
the absence of McCulloch in particular, as broken to you here. The reasons
cited, to my understanding, was his omission from the Hearts XI following the
booing v Falkirk, which upset him so much he
elected to exclude himself from starting. And when his cameo at Tynecastle
brought about the concession of two goals from the instant he arrived, it
became clear Jig’s time at Ibrox was under threat.

He was not part of yesterday’s
matchday squad, he did not travel to Dumfries,
and the initial reasons were a bust-up with unnamed individuals, and then
injury.
Stuart McCall pre-match stated he
had lost Mohsni and McCulloch to injury ‘on Friday morning’ but it seems more
than a little strange that the two high-profile defenders at the centre of
major transfer rumours recently suddenly both got injured literally on Friday
morning at the same time!?
It smacks of the usual ‘mysterious
injury’ which keeps a player out when negotiating with other clubs regarding a
pre-contract or transfer – the most famous examples in recent times at Ibrox
were Boumsong then Cuellar, who both disappeared from the first team with
strange and unexplained injuries before securing their moves out of Govan.
While no transfer fee would be
involved this time, given they are both out of contract in five matches’ time,
Mohsni being linked to Freiburg and McCulloch to Kilmarnock would force the
quite reasonable conclusion that the same is occurring here.

  1. I really think we all need to leave this to Stuart, "dirty laundry in public", the last thing we need right now at this stage of the play offs is the wrong kind off headlines, let the manager manage it !!!! Hopefully we have seen the last of both of the afore mentioned.

    • Totally agree. With so many important games on the horizon it's time to lie low and do what so many mothers have told their children. 'If you've nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.. Time is now to show support and to refrain from verbally tearing the team and players apart…at least in print and in public.

  2. No speculation as far as I'm concerned. Both players are shite and not worthy of a jersey. Simple as, don't care beyond that.

  3. Although I don't like mohsni as a player I think Mcculloch stayed at Rangers through the bad times, but I do think his time is up as well as a few more 1st team players. WATP

  4. Never missed them one bit yesterday,,, I think Mohsni does have the skill, but he does not have the mentality to be at Rangers. His focus is more on the opposition fans than his job in hand. McCulloch is a money grabbing parasite, as led by McCoist. McCoist is the main reason of our downfall. He hid the fact he was getting nearly 1 milloin pounds a year for a third division side? , naw Ally, I wouldnt have walked away either!!! And he is still getting paid for nothing!!,, Parasite!,, It is, what it is at Ibrox at the moment, and i hope we go up, then we can set the foundations to challenge for the premier league, as long as we dump the waste of spaces after the season is over!!

  5. Did the supposed 'big Rangers man' and team captain travel with the team to lend support yesterday? Rangers fans need to stop being conned by sound bytes, alleged 'legends' and those who would call themselves 'Rangers Men'. The cutest of them all earned himself a fortune and continues to reap the benefits for. Enjoy my season ticket money McCoist!!
    Murray, King take note!

  6. we still have to get rid of a few more Hutton Smith even though his goal was great Shields Law when is this man going too give us an 90 minutes no heart ,but I do a like the other comments I still think we need at least 6 new players Go GERS GO.

  7. we need all the out of contract players out at the end of the season,i agree with all you bears comments, but remember there is no concrete evidence that we have money yet to get decent players in for next season, english championship is where we should be shopping, as it is better than the scottish premier league, and thats a hard fact, i wish we were in it
