Haris Vuckic: “I’m staying at Ibrox”

Rangers’ Slovenian winger and
hot-form forward Haris Vuckic has been quoted today as stating he is in it for
the long-term at Ibrox.
As part of the infamous ‘Newcastle
Five’, Vuckic is the only one of the quintuplet to not only have an impact but
become a first-team regular, accumulating a glut of goals since his arrival
from Tyneside, inspiring Rangers’ interest in signing him and McCall’s
comparison of him with Rangers’ hero Alexei Mikhailichenko.
Vuckic allegedly claims he will
not be returning to Newcastle
next season, with the following attributed to him:

“I know I won’t be at Newcastle next season. I am not sad, because
I am focused on getting Rangers back into the top league.”
The Slovenian cap showing his
commitment in words there if confirmed. He continued:
“If we achieve that then I hope I’m around
next season for the new challenge. It is up to Rangers but I am ready to sign
up.”
If his displays were not a sign
of his desire to remain, these quotes could be.
He lastly states:
“To score against Celtic is my ambition”
Join the club Haris!

  1. that's what you call the FEEL GOOD FACTOR !
something we've missed. PLAYERS WANTING 2 PLAY 4 US IF THIS IS TRUE.

  2. Bring him on a good player and at the right age, I would like to see Kyle Bartley brought back too in place of McCulloch who surely has to go, the sun is out at last and starting to shine at Ibrox as well, keep the faith.

    • Funny enough we were discussing the prospect of retaining VUKIC and I did say "I've not wanted to keep a loan player this much since we had Kyle Bartley" so great minds lol!

  3. I'm just concerned if Newcastle will do business with us as he has 1 year left on his contract. It would be a great signing but we will have to wait and see.

    • yes as the fat man and his palls might put the boot into us,its time the newcastle support stoped the money going into his pocket and there team might start to go places and winning cups.

    • I was thinking the same credit where its due for hearts but that will be the last league they win for a while…we be back that's for sure we are hated as always but jealousy that's all it is. 54 and counting ENOUGH SAID

  4. As a Mag, I hope for his sake he does stay with you. Under our current regime, his options would be limited and we would continue to set his development back. I really like this lad, and although he has been plagued by injuries, I still think with some game time and confidence he could be a real player. As I said, hope he stays with you and good luck to him and 'Gers

  5. If he has 1 year left on his contract Ashley will snap your hand off now as in a year he can leave on a free and Ashley wont let that happen. Good luck to the lad you have a good young player there and seems to have found somewhere he can perform and thrive, never really got a chance at Newcastle due to injuries and our managers not giving im enough games.

  6. Loads of good players Rangers could sign, but until the ongoing shambles in the boardroom is sorted, and some money goes into the account, nobody will be getting signed.
Can some fans not see,Rangers are potless. When money is available, then talk about signing players.

    • No point putting up the money if we can't sign anyone until the next transfer window opens. If the money is not made available then, you can say we're potless. Until then, quit moaning (unless you're a Tim, in which case, away and crawl back intae whatever hole ye crawled out of).

  7. Brill news he be more than welcome hungry to play , excellent goal against the jam tarts, Dave king cleared to hope we get up and and get good players in. Well done to Stu mcall watp

  8. How can the Blazers now obstruct Dave. They surely will contrive to find a way, given they are in the pocket of Msrs Lawwell, Thomson and Petrie. The sun may rise in the East, but it goes full circle as Rangers will do. BEWARE !!. We will not forget.

  9. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Exactly the quality, age, experience and desire we need. Just hope it can go through.

Go on son, happy to have ye on board.

  10. DOES OTHER BEARS SENSE A WEE BIT OF PANIC SETTING IN FROM OTHER FANS OR JUST THE USUAL RANGERS BASHING.

    • Wouldn't say panic, perhaps realisation the corner has been turned and we're enroute to where we belong.

As bears we must be realistic in that we have only won 3 games in a row. The road back to the premier league will be tough but we look more than capable if we continue to progress as of late.

Should we pull it off, the realism must extend to the summer signing policy and beyond…..but let's get there first, starting with a tough gig at Palmerston this week.

  11. What a player what a manager what a board, we will win the Europa Cup and then the Champion League within 3 years J

    • 7.25
Don't know about that , might @ least
be able to say Semtex f.c.won a league with us in it though or without points deductions !

  12. big haris his ambition to score against celtic …MAGIC !

he will do us nicely… he`s got a great left foot …
same as wee robin of Holland and Bayern..
goes down the right .. cuts in left and wallop! also big Albertz tae !

    • The best ever left foot, at Ibrox? It would be hard to choose, eh? Albertz, Willie Johnston, Davie Cooper….etc. etc. It would be a time consuming exercise trying to come up with an answer. That's if the question wasn't simplified, by the memory of the immortal Jim Baxter. WATP

  13. The boy is a good player and he's eager to play. He's got the hunger, that's easy to see. There's a problem though. His play at Rangers has put him in the 'shop window'. Others will be interested in him now. The fat barsteward will know that. He'll be looking to cash in, that's his way. But even if Rangers came up with the best offer, I reckon he'd block any move. I'm convinced he was out to put the club in Admin again and either bury us by selling the lot, or buying the club for a song using a pre-pack Admin sale. It worries me that he's still in the background. I'll not be at ease until Rangers men have got the 76% share holding required to make ALL the financial decisions, such as new share issues, that will secure the financial future of the club.
Having said that, I'm so grateful, and thankful, to Dave King and Co. who have stopped Ashley, at least for now. Whatever can be done, that has to be done, I have complete confidence they will do it. There will be things going on that can't be made public at this time, there's no point putting large sums of money in until it's 100% certain it stays with the club, rather than lining somebody's pockets. Anyway, enough of that. Promotion is far from certain, but I think we all feel we are in a much better place than we were just a couple of months ago. Whatever happens, we can take it and come roaring back, because we are the mighty Glasgow Rangers. We must have done something pretty good, in a past life, for God to have made us Rangers men. Good, isn't it?
