Financial expert ‘surprised’ if NOMAD deadline fails

Football financial expert David
Bick, chairman of Square 1 Consulting, would be ‘surprised’ if Rangers do not
get a Nominated Advisor by the deadline of this Saturday.
He said of the interim results:
“The balance sheet is only held up by the
property that they own (Murray Park, Ibrox etc) and the loans that have been
put in by Mike Ashley and more recently money that has been put in by the
newest shareholders (King, Letham, Taylor & Park).”

Nothing fans did not strictly
already know, and he described Rangers’ losses as ‘sad’ and pointed out the
staggering chasm between that and English clubs.
He went on:
“I think those shareholders would have known
the deal with Newcastle,
with Mike Ashley. I don’t think there can be any issue about this, the bigger
deal for Rangers is how to recover from here.”
Lastly he states:
“I would have thought that now that the new
shareholders have control of the club I’d be surprised if they didn’t get that
in place (a NOMAD) in time.”
The Club confirmed today in their
interim report that negotiations continue regarding the installation of one.

  1. King promised a Nomad, he had one in place and ready to go. How's he going to fill the funding gap if there is no share issue.
Last week's loans looked like a desperate bid to cobble together a short term fix.
Where is King's money………he's already said that hevdoesn't need to be a Director to invest so whats stopping him.
His mouthpiece Murray's statement was full of contradictions and he didn't even mention the court F&P hearing, he was blabbing on about the SFA instead.
So, and its confusing I know, will King be investing if not passed by court and SFA?
If he doesn't get a Nomad have the board left themselves open to legal action from those who bought shares and supported them at the EGM………..based on King's rhetoric?

  2. I don`t think all the shareholders knew about deal with Newcastle so I do think there can be an issue about this,i would not have an issue with delisting if it can be used to marginalize Ashley even more

  3. King lied, he pretended he was going to invest whether he passed the fit and proper test or not. King could have invested already instead of taking more loans. Paul Murray has put nothing in as probably has nothing to invest. Shareholders have been duped (again) into removing the old board. No Nomad and now news today that if we win promotion Newcastle get £500,000 from our £450,000 prize money??????

    • It's actually worse. According to the BBC should Rangers finish second in the Championship, the prize money is only 342k not 450k.

    • Jennifer, being married to a manbeater I wouldn't dream of calling you dear or pet or anything. But listen sweetiepie, its being too calm to the point of disloyalty thats got us to here. We should have mobilised a while ago. Only joking about sweetiepie, don't tell her.

  4. I was musing with four other dyed in the wool bears last night and we put together a hall of infamy of all those who have put us in the dire position we are in.. The first four were well in play long before the wheels came off. Top of the list was Sir David's insane jealousy. The full list (worst first) we came up with is: Lisbon 1967 team, Lloyds, Daily Record, Sir David Murray, Dick Advocaat, David Somers, Derek Llambias, Charles Green, David King, Walter Smith, Ally McCoist, FC Kaunas, Brian Stockbridge, Barry Leach, Craig Whyte, Gazza, John Brown, Turnbull Hutton, Chris Graham, Mick Ashley.

    • I don't read a lot but I am immensely saddened to see this because I didn't realise there had been so many villains lined up against us. I would take Lisbon and Kaunas out of it and put Dickie Dido, Walter and Ally further up. Good leaving Flo and McDowell out, they were both used.

    • And where are you on that list… along with your 'dyed in the wool' bears… awaaay with you mate, you're not a rangers fan.

  5. Totally – Harry Barry, Sherrick Derek, Kick Mick, and Punt the reprehensible loathsome beastly cads oot the windae (defenestration if you know what I mean).

  6. We don't need a Nomad. It better for us not to be on AIM. Shares can be sold privately. No issue at all here just folk spinning garbage about this being an issue . It's not !!!

    • Well seen you know b*gger all about fiduciary matters then as delisting means shares are worthless which may be fine for a supporter with a few shares but is financial suicide if you are a trust fund or financial institution. This would leave us wide open to liquidation again.

  7. Not being on AIM means you have no benchmark for what those shares are worth. This effectively means that any share purchase by a NEW investor is an emotional decision. Emotional decisions limit your possible new market to people with a strong affinity to the club. Which only then leaves the existing shareholders, and they havent exactly been delighted to throw more money into the club.

  8. what is the DD for 278k per month for?

Is it payment to the hidden owners of the stadium for lease/rental, or is it a Ticketus deal?

We demand to know as per the transparency we have been promised, or deny that there is such a payment and take legal action against those publishing a lie.

  9. Why is there not a single mention in the media of the monthly DD's amounting to 278k per month leaving the bank account.
It's a staggering amount of money and the blogger making the claim has called out the board on several occasions to correct him if he's mistaken, following which he will print an apology.

But hey ho, nothing, nobody wants to touch the subject with a barge pole.

If it's not a Ticketus type deal then it can only be lease or rental payments to the beneficial stadium owners….take your pick.
