The stars come out for Fernando – let’s sell out Ibrox

After many weeks of fears about
ticket sales, tomorrow’s Fernando Ricksen Tribute Match will go ahead in front
of at least 25,000 fans at Ibrox, with unofficial figures putting the number
nearer 40,000.
Pay at the gate has been
confirmed by Rangers, and nothing would mean more to Fernando and his family
than to see his most valued former club come to his aid by way of a
near-capacity Ibrox to watch Rangers legends take on their world counterparts.

With the likes of Peter
Lovenkrands, Marco Negri, Rino Gattuso and Nacho Novo all confirmed as playing
for the ‘home’ side, there really is little excuse for fans not to snap up the
tickets. Especially given that aforementioned pay at the gate as verified
yesterday by the Club.
Public interest in this match has
experienced a massive groundswell in recent days, and as stated, the proceeds
will go to Ricksen himself, his daughter, the Rangers Charity Foundation and
MND Scotland.
It is as worthwhile a cause as
you will see, and I urge all able Rangers fans with a few spare hours tomorrow
afternoon to make their way to Ibrox.
