Nicky Clark a target for Notts County

No sooner had news broken a
couple of hours ago of both the confirmed departure of Arnold Peralta from
Ibrox by mutual consent and the potential sale of Nicky Law to Championship
side Leeds Utd, when it was followed by a breaking story from the Daily Express
that up next for his journey down the Marble Staircase and out the front door
was striker Nicky Clark.
The Express tonight reports that
Clark, 23, is a target for Notts
County on loan till the
end of the season.
Tonight’s possible exodus truly
is a display of asset stripping at a primal level.
While only Peralta is confirmed,
his being joined by Law and Clark would leave the squad at a desperate level
and found beyond wanting with the Old Firm clash ahead.
As for Clark,
it is safe to say young Nicky has never been given anything like a fair crack
of the whip at Ibrox, with his excellent record for QoS counting for little as
he found himself benched more often than not in Govan, on form or otherwise.
So he himself probably would not
be too broken hearted at a move to English League One, which is a fundamental
step up from the Scottish Championship.
But fans are set to be furious if
yet another quality asset is stripped in the name of keeping the lights on.

  1. It looks like the sale is on in earnest. The questions begs to be asked, Has the board given up on the idea of trying to win the Championship? And has the board also given up on the playoffs?

  2. Rangers FC gave up on ambition to win anything the day they appointed McCoist as manager. By far the worst manager in the history of the Club.

  3. The Cowdenbeath game is likely to be off due to frost at the weekend, then League Cup duty the following weekend. Hearts are likely to be 19 points clear before TRFC play again. There's no way the Championship can be won.
If the SFA impose/threaten sanctions next week following their meeting with Ashley, any small points deduction will put TRFC back in the mix with Hibs, QOTS and Falkirk.
Would you back the current team to get through 3 play offs to gain promotion?
On the Brightside Hills are offering Celtic at 25/1 minus 5 goals next weekend, got to be looked at. Minus 4 at 8/1 is a saver.
