A sea-change in Scotland?

A sea-change in Scotland?

Article by: Richard, for Ibrox Noise

Most Rangers fans are asking if we have any chance of lifting our 55th league win this season and can we realistically challenge Celtic for the title?

Possibly, but only if we beat Hearts at Ibrox today.

We have 6 wins and one defeat since returning from our winter break and we’ve taken second place from Aberdeen, closed the gap on Celtic and we are scoring goals for fun.

Murty signed exceptionally well during the January window and changed the whole momentum of the team to his advantage. McInnes could not have done any better!

We’re also missing key players who are due back from injury soon, to further enhance our competitive edge and to continue with our new feel-good factor.

Our squad has greatly improved since the new player’s arrivals, and there is now an air of optimism, emulating from the best supporters in Scotland. It has been a long time coming and I hope it’s here to last.

A lot could depend on Murty picking the right team to play the Jam Tarts. I hope he doesn’t recall Jason Holt because of his poor tackling ability. I admit he is a great runner and works his backside off, but sometimes that is not enough for me, as his passing isn’t that good either.

I would stick with new signing Greg Docherty in midfield, as he came on to a good match in the 2nd half against Hamilton in a pulsating last 45-minute display by Rangers.

I dreamt last night that Rangers beat Hearts 2-0 with Windass opening the scoring and Morelos stroking in the winner, but even better was to come when Aberdeen beat a poor Celtic team 1-0 to finally end their jinx of continually losing to the Glasgow side.

I woke up a very happy bluenose, now let’s see if my dream comes true!

  2. See what really bloody annoys me,, is that we have a team that ARE able to win that league this season. They have the ability to beat every team in the league!
But it's the same old story "Inconsistency" or what appears to be at Ibrox "Lack of bottle",, They just need to believe in themselves!
Today, I, as usual, will be supporting and urging our lads to fight and believe in themselves to go for it. We still have a chance to challenge.
My feet will always be on the ground, but yes, we can still win this league, but our lads need to believe it and play with the passion and aggression required to be title winners. One big final push lads, come on!!!

  3. Dreams can come true I hope Alves is on from the start if you look at the list of long term injuries to key players it is scary, we have done well to get where we are with so much talent absent, just hope the moaners and boo boys we have in our support shut up today and get fully behind the gers

  4. The situation at the moment makes me really mad , Hamilton ,Dundee , Kilmarnock and st Johnstone , we would be clear at the top ,
