Premier League manager: “No contact from Rangers”

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has confirmed Rangers have not contacted the Cherries over midfielder Emerson Hyndman and a decision by the seaside club will be taken over his future at the end of the window.

Following media reports that Rangers were pursuing the American international’s signature on loan again till the end of the month, Howe has poured cold water over the story and stated otherwise.

He said:

“We’ve had no contact from anyone at Rangers, we’ll make a decision with Emerson later in the window.”

It does seem that the 21-year old is out of favour at Bournemouth (he still has never made a single start in the league for them) and conceivably looking for first team football, but recent media claims that Rangers had made him a priority target may well be somewhat wide of the mark if Howe’s testimony today is to be taken at face value.

  1. Noise please let this go!!! This Laddie is not good enough for Rangers…Lets try and get Docherty or Kenny Mc Clean

  2. A week ago it was nasty administration rumours, and now that we are making a numbers of signings some fans are getting swept away by it all, indeed getting greedy, but for my own point of view once we had signed Cummings I was satisfied then, and we now look like we have numbers that can keep all the squad happy but still competitive,I think we can have a 2nd half of the season that will support our optimism.

  3. The Spun & Daily Rubbish making it up as they go along again.
There reporters are Fuking tossers full stop!!
Docherty & Roberts would surely be more than enough in this window.

  4. Off topic: worrying reports from certain media outlets that tav is refusing to pen a new deal to commit to us for the foreseeable future and looking to quit ibrox to return south. If that's the case the club should look to cash in on one of our most prized assets. Can ibrox noise shed some light on the matter.

  5. I'd be happy with what we have, with the possible exception of Docherty. It can be very difficult to bring in so many players at the one time and give them all game time and keep them happy. Aim should be a steady gradual improvement over 4 or 5 windows. Bringing a whole new team in is a proven disaster for us.
