English Championship sides target two Rangers strikers; reports

Rangers are expected to make a raft of changes in next month’s transfer window, and among the reported departures could be in-form again star striker Alfredo Morelos, a target for Aston Villa, and unfancied Ryan Hardie who is said to be interesting QPR.

The Colombian forward has been a hit, by and large, since arriving in Govan, and despite his 10-game dry spell, English clubs have been monitoring him ever since that hot streak earlier in the season.

Steve Bruce’s Villans seem in pole position to capture him, and if the bid is handsome enough Rangers might find it hard to turn down.

Meanwhile Queen’s Park Rangers are reportedly looking at Hardie for their youth setup, with the 20 year old managing zero starts this season at Ibrox, and one would imagine he is at an age now where if he has not broken through to the Rangers first team, he is unlikely ever to do so.

Whether it would be a mutual consent departure or it would be a sum of cash from Loftus Road for the forward remains to be seen, but along with Morelos and the possible extended loss of Kenny Miller Rangers could well find their striking options thin on the ground next month if these sales end up happening.

  1. if we got a good price for morelos i would take it, as long as we were going to replace him with somebody better, his touch is poor he seems to get the ball stuck under his feet all the time, his effort has dropped as well, on saturday he wouldn’t have needed his shirt washed after the game, but how can we sell players or buy players without a manager, what player worth his salt is going to sign for a club when he doesnt know who the manager is?

  2. We should not sell any one we need all hands at the pump for a few seasons not selling for 500 thousand or 1 million its shit money two or three seasons from now and Alfredo Morelos scoring in CL he could be worth 5/10 million

  3. Ffs if we sell morelos(we riot) it's a suitable strike partner we need to sign for him. Jason cummings could be good.

  4. We should be tying all these guys up on good contracts to stop clubs buying on the cheap from us. I heard cardoso will leave and Rangers hope to recoup a chunk of the money paid for him!!! Why not stick to your guns and sell him for a profit.

  5. We need to strengthen, not sell every decent player at first opportunity – usually well below true market value.

Are we really so stupid that we can't learn from previous mistakes? So thick that we can't copy what Celtic have done?

We as a priority should be getting morelos on a longer term deal with aim of selling him on for 10m + to an EPL team, just like Celtic have done successfully. This is realistic, but if we keep selling for peanuts then teams will rightly treat us like idiots.

Hardie has never had a chance. Think of all the other players we have not given a proper chance to and gave then went on to good things. If we really can't give him game time then get him a loan to a decent side and see what he can do. Sorry but it's pointless loaning players to any Scottish side outside of the premiership.

  6. Not keen on Cummings thought he was ok in the championship in Scotland but he's possibly been truely found out down Englandshire.
Have to agree with Scott there will be a fuking Riot if we sell Morelos and I've also said all along he needs a partner up front, Moult would have been perfect IMO and the board should have had him at Ibrox already (Wankers!!)

Hope & prey we approach Paul Clement he will sort this fuking clusterfuk out and Brenda to boot!!

  7. Look. Unless as English Clubs and Celtic say, you offer Silly Money Go away.
Same as Aberdeen and Hearts say to us. Pay up or pish aff.

Get rid of shite Not the best you have.
Unless double at least what you paid

  8. Villa have no money due to financial fair play regulations and couldn't afford to spend a few million on morelos
