The bizarre John Eustace saga, now into its fifth month, shows no sign of ending any time soon with the latest confirmation that no deal is in sight to take him to Ibrox and the player/coach is currently down south dealing with ‘family issues’.

The story of Eustace having a domestic issue goes back many weeks, but since then it is this site’s understanding he had a further injury setback on his return, and the curious tale of the ‘personal problems’ issue compounds the mystery even further.

Rangers manager Warburton had this to say on the latest in the odd affair:

“John’s got a domestic he’s working on at the moment. It’s away from football and a family situation that he has to deal with and we wish John well in that respect.”

Naturally problems in someone’s personal life take precedent over anything else and need to be solved, so like Warburton we wish Eustace the best, but it cannot be helped be felt that if it was not this it would be something else.
